is a blog written by a language researcher based between the UK and Algeria.

MACHAHO does two things: record my readings in book review forms, and record my experiences of living in Algeria often written from a language research perspective.

This blog's name and content is inspired by the great work of Mouloud Mammeri who collected numerous Berber stories from Kabylie, to save them from a collective loss of memory.

The collection dedicated to Algerian literature is made to hopefully help other readers who might be interested in, or researching, Algerian literature (and also to remember my own self of what I once read...).
